Description
Realistic simulation model to practice and train cricothyroidotomy procedure, created from real patient anatomies (from Computed Tomography).
CHARACTERISTICS
- It has palpable anatomical structures of the larynx and trachea: hyoid bone, thyroid membrane, thyroid cartilage with its laryngeal incision, cricothyroid membrane and cricoid cartilage, as well as tracheal rings.
- The base of the model has a removable skin tensioning and fastening system, as well as suction cups that allow better adherence to the surface.
- The removable skin pad is made of layers of flexible material and high density foam that mimics the subcutaneous fatty tissue and has a length of 60 cm, which allows more than 30 procedures per piece.
- Articulated larynx and trachea to be able to adjust the opening of the membrane.
- Quick and easy to change spare parts.
- Model developed and tested with specialists in the area.
- The cricothyroid membrane corresponds to an interchangeable adhesive tape that simulates the texture and resistance of the real one.
